During my recent weekend stay at Die Hoekhuis, I was pleasantly surprised by its blend of comfort and functionality. The spacious double room featured a cozy seating area, complete with an electric blanket that was a welcoming comfort against the chilly nights. The self-catering facilities, while modest, were more than adequate for our needs, allowing for a delightful barbecue in the outdoor setting. One aspect that particularly stood out was the warmth of the hospitality mirrored by the well-maintained rooms, equipped with essential amenities like a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Its central location made it a strategic base for exploring nearby attractions, with Schreiner House just a 3-minute stroll away. There were minor inconveniences, such as the need for a more organized loadshedding schedule, which caught me off-guard on a couple of mornings.
